Ivy Hill is such a great place, we all agree, each and every case. As everyone knows, we love our school, what’s going on there is pretty cool. Come join the PTA, it’s not too late, November 4th is the next meeting date.

PTA MEETING: Please join us for our meeting on Wednesday, November 4th @ 7pm, where you can learn all about PTA and the various committees. All parents are invited and encouraged to attend. Contact our PTA Co-Presidents Julie Soderna (julie@soderna.com) and Jennifer Sadowski (jenjen57@aol.com) with questions.

PTA MEMBERSHIP: It is not too late to join the Ivy Hill PTA. Membership ($12) includes a membership card and 2 log-ons to the online school calendar and directory.  The PTA supports and organizes many different activities throughout the school year. This year will look a little different, but we plan to have fun activities regardless. To join, please click this link.  If you have any questions, please contact Melissa Vanburen (studyfreak2005@yahoo.com).

DIRECTORY SPOT: One of the many benefits of joining the PTA is access to Directory Spot. Keep your kids connected to their classmates and friends! Quickly access contact information for parents, students, staff and PTA members, plus the school calendar, all from your mobile device!  Get the Directory Spot app in the App Store or Google Play today, or visit DirectorySpot.net. All sponsored by your PTA! Questions or edits? Contact Jules Motschall (IvyHillDirectory@gmail.com).

REFLECTIONS:   Do you enjoy art, music and dance or have an interest in writing, producing films and taking photos? Then join us and have fun unleashing your inner artist with PTA Reflections! This year’s theme, “I Matter Because…,” calls for your own unique interpretation through the arts. Click here for the form, which needs to be returned by November 2nd to Kim Eckert. For inspiration, visit the Reflections virtual art gallery and learn more ab out prizes and scholarships at PTA.org/Reflections/Awards.

STRESS FREE FUNDRAISER: We’re bringing back the stress-free fundraiser!  As we navigate the uncertainty of this school year, we felt that it was important to keep things simple and offer a way for families to contribute to the PTA without the time commitment that many other fundraising options require.  The PTA is still working hard to deliver fun events and activities for the kids this year, while adhering to social distancing and safety guidelines.  Making a donation to the stress-free fundraiser is a quick and easy way for anyone to contribute!  Specific information about how to make a donation will be available next week.

RED RIBBON WEEK: October 23rd – October 31st is Red Ribbon Week! More information coming very soon!

I-FIVES: Thank you to everyone who came out for the first PTA meeting!

SCHOOL BOARD MEETING: The next school board meeting is Thursday, October 15th @ 7:30pm at the Greenbrier Elementary School. To watch remotely, click here.
