JUST MOVE IT! CHALLENGE – is quickly approaching. Even though the deadline has passed to receive a free Tshirt and reduced entry fee, you can still register for the Just Move It challenge. BOOK FAIR is Wednesday, April 13th from 3:30pm-8:00pm. The Ivy Hill PTA is once again partnering with Scholastic Books to bring you this year’s BOOK FAIR fundraiser! Scholastic brings a wide variety of books, many at discounted prices. Please join us and stock up on some new books to keep the kids reading as the school year comes to a close and summer is just around the corner! Students will have an opportunity to preview the books during class, on Tuesday, April 12th. We need volunteers for both the preview day and the Book Fair. Watch for an email from the school messenger regarding signing up to volunteer. PTA Happenings March 11-17,2016
FREE Training Sessions for Just Move it! ChallengeWhether it’s your first race or your 100th, ALL Levels of walkers and runners are invited to Runner’s High ‘n Tri for FREE training sessions to prepare for the Just Move it! Challenge* on April 16th. Come to one or as many sessions as you’d like. Participants that attend all FIVE sessions will earn a chance to win great prizes
When: Saturdays, 9:30-10:30 AM 3/12, 3/19, 3/26, 4/2, and 4/9
Where: Runner’s High ‘n Tri, 121 W. Campbell Street, Arlington Heights
Ages: Youth and Adults
Skill Level: Runners, walkers, ALL skill levels are welcome!
Prizes **: 1. One pair of shoes professionally fitted by a Runner’s High ‘n Tri expert (Adult) One Timex watch (Youth)
** Participants who attend all five sessions will be eligible to enter a drawing for the prizes above. One award will be given to an adult participant and one award will be given to a youth (17 & under). Prizes have been donated by Runner’s High ‘n Tri.

PTA Happenings March 4-10, 2016
REFLECTIONS: Congratulations for all who participated in Reflections this year! Your projects will be displayed in the gym at Thomas Middle School on March 9th at 6:45. There will be a reception to congratulate you on your accomplishments and you will be able to take your project home! Also, a big congratulations to Thomas Wojick, Gianna Mele and Natalie Michael who have advanced from region to state. There will be be a reception for them on March 8th at 7:00 at Eisenhower Junior High School in Hoffman Estates! Be sure to find Mrs. Mele to take your pictures for the yearbook at both events! She is so proud of everyone who ‘Let Their Imaginations Fly’ this year!

MOVIE NIGHT for grades K-2 is March 11th at 6:30 pm. Doors open at 6:30PM and the movie will start promptly at 6:45 PM. Parents should pick their child up at 8:30 PM. Kids are encouraged to wear their pajamas and bring a sleeping bag, pillow, and their favorite stuffed animal to enjoy the movie.
