PTA HAPPENINGS September 29 – October 5, 2018

REFLECTIONS: Does your child enjoy art, music, and dance or have an interest in writing, producing films, and taking photos? Then they should join us and have fun unleashing their inner artist with PTA Reflections! This year’s theme, “Heroes Around Me,” calls for their own unique interpretation through the arts. Look for a flyer with additional information coming home in your child’s backpack. The Student Entry Form and Rules can be found on the Ivy Hill PTA website here, https://ivyhillpta.org/2018/09/26/reflections-2018/. Projects will be due Monday, October 29.

SAVE THE DATE: Movie Night @Ivy Hill for 3rd- 5th grade is Friday, November 2^nd at 6:30pm. Come and join the fun! Bring a sleeping bag and hang out in your PJ’s with your friends. Doors will open at 6:15pm and the movie will start promptly at 6:30pm. The movie selection will be revealed shortly and permission slips will go home with students in early October. Reflections 2018

Does your child enjoy art, music, and dance or have an interest in writing, producing films, and taking photos? Then they should join us and have fun unleashing their inner artist with PTA Reflections! This year’s theme, “Heroes Around Me”, calls for their own unique interpretation through the arts. Below you can find the rules for each Reflections category, as well as the Student Packet with Entry Form. One Entry Form needs to be submitted with each project. STRESS FREE FUNDRAISER: Thank you to all who have contributed so far to the stress free fundraiser. Please help support the PTA by sending in your donations if you haven’t done so already.

CLASSROOM VOLUNTEERS: Look out for a classroom volunteer form coming home in your child’s backpack.

STRESS FREE FUNDRAISER: Thank you to all who have contributed so far to the stress free fundraiser. Please help support the PTA by sending in your donations if you haven’t done so already.

PTA REIMBURSEMENTS: If you need to get reimbursed for approved PTA related expenses, you must include the debit voucher along with the receipt. The debit vouchers are in the PTA bin in the school office. Thank you!

PTA HAPPENINGS September 7-13, 2018

It is not too late to join the Ivy Hill PTA. Membership ($12) includes a membership card and 2 logons to the online school calendar and directory. The PTA supports and organizes many different activities throughout the school year, including Movie Night, Fun Fair, Field Day, Running Club, Chess Club, and many, many more. To join, please complete this short form (membership-application-2018-2019 (2) and return it via backpack mail with your payment. If you have any questions, please contact Louann Benbow at benbowunit@gmail.com.

We need you! The PTA organizes so many amazing events for your child throughout the school year and we need more parent volunteers to make them happen. If possible, please volunteer for at least one committee. Your time and efforts directly impact the children and help make Ivy Hill a special place. Please note, there are many volunteer opportunities that are flexible with busy schedules. Please click on this link to indicate the areas you are interested in helping with. The Room Rep committee is in need of parent volunteers to assist with the October (Halloween) and February (Valentine’s Day) room parties. The following classrooms are in need of parent volunteers. Kindergarten: Eisenhuth & Rodriguez (PM), First grade: Zingg, Tazi, McFarland, Berman, Second grade: Stemler, Third grade: Tazioli & Sobanski, Fourth grade: Santos, Fifth grade: Taylor/Como & Gavigan.
