The Membership Incentive Grant of $2,500 our school received in the fall was used to purchase a variety of technology items for our innovation area in our LMC. These items focus on building number sense, as well as coding and problem solving. We additionally have purchased a green screen and lighting kit. This will be used to enhance our morning announcements, while also providing another pathway for students to use when demonstrating their learning. Specific items include: Osmo Numbers, Osmo Coding, Puzzlets, and Maze. Your Support of ABC/25 Foundation fundraisers such as the Just Move it! Challenge, Membership Drive, and Yankee Candle have made these grants possible. Thank you.
ABC/25 Foundation Needs YOU! The Foundation Board has openings for the 2017-2018 school year: President (or 2 Co-Presidents), Vice President, and School Liaison for Ivy Hill. To learn more contact abc25president@gmail.com or the current Ivy Hill Liaison, Diane Liigsoo (dliigsoo.ivyhill@gmail.com).
VIDEO/MUSIC PRODUCTIONS: Our video/music productions committee needs volunteers to run the new lighting equipment, videotape each grade’s musical show, and provide DVDs for parents to purchase, all under the direction of Mrs. Opitz. All equipment is provided. It’s very easy to run the new, state-of-the-art equipment and does not require a huge commitment. If you can work a video camera, you are qualified. If interested, please contact Lynette Nimmo at net02134@aol.com.
I-Fives go to: Video/Music Productions Committee, Lynette Nimmo, Judy Newman, Emily Morrison, Praveena Aradhya, and Lucy Block for videotaping the second grade show, and all other musical productions, handling the lighting, as well as assisting in creating the DVDs for purchase.
