Hello Ivy Eagles!
On behalf of the PTA we hope that you and your families have been staying safe and healthy during these unprecedented times. The year has definitely ended in a way that we didn’t imagine but as the Eagle way, we have all done our very best to make it through. We have some news and special thank you’s that we would like to share as we near the end of our school year.
Nominating Committee: First off, thank you to the Nominating Committee for electing 4 new members to the board for the upcoming school year 2020-2021.The following individuals are slated for Executive Board Offices for 2020-2021 school year. Please mark your calendars for the June 10th PTA meeting via Zoom at 7pm, when the new Executive Board will be voted in. Nominations will also be accepted from the floor at the time of the election. Nominees must have agreed to take on the role (if elected) prior to their nomination. Zoom ID and Link will be distributed the week of the meeting.

Ivy Food Truck Fundraisers: Ivy Hill is excited to provide opportunities for our community to purchase a variety of delicious food items through several food trucks that will be coming to our school parking lot. A percentage of all sales will be donated back to our PTA!! Please be sure to share this info. with all your family and friends!! We hope to see you all there!

MYFUNNEL TRUCK on Friday May 22nd, 5pm to 8pm Come and enjoy an ice-cream/and or a funnel cake.
SWEET CONNECTION on Wednesday May 27th, between 5pm -7pm. All orders need to pre-ordered by May 24th. You can email your orders to anna@asweetsgirl.com or via phone/text at 312-404-9415. Be sure to mention Ivy Hill, and the date May 27th in your order!
5 SQUARED PIZZA on Wednesday June 3rd, between 5pm-7pm. Please pre-order your pizzas by calling/texting 224-595-5781 by June 1, or by emailing events@fivesquared.com.

I-FIVES: We would like to send a special thank you to Mr. Kaese, Mrs. Jimenez and the 5th grade teachers who showed their love and support for our 5th grade students by passing out their 5th grade t-shirts and lawn signs!! It was an incredibly emotional day as students and teachers got to say good-bye during this drive-thru event. It was a great sense of closure, and extremely heart warming how the Ivy Hill staff helped make it happen! Thank-you!! We wish each of the 5th graders the best of luck as they move on to Middle School. Soar high as the Eagle as you have been these past 5 years.
A big thank-you to Michelle Derochowski and Kate Buttita for continuing to work on their environmental awareness committee and help create the grounds of Ivy Hill to be beautiful and welcoming! We appreciate you ladies!
A big thank you to Melissa Sherman, Tammi Grippo, Laura Fritzsche and Kim Greenstein for coming up with some creative ways to acknowledge our amazing teachers and staff at Ivy Hill during Teacher Appreciation Week. They definitely came up with some creative ways to say THANK YOU to the amazing teachers/staff that make it happen for our kids.
Thank you again for all that each of you do as an Eagle! We ended this year differently but we still manage to be strong and come through together. Thank you!
