LUNCHTIME READERS COMMITTEE:    Deadline to register extended to January 10!  Lunchtime readers begins January 30.  Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders invited to participate.   Please fill out the attached 3rd, 4th and 5th grade registration forms3rd Grade Registration Form;  4th and 5th Grade Registration Form. See the attached book list:  Book List.   Book choices can also be viewed in the library.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact Praveena Aradhya (praveena.aradhya@gmail.com) or Soumya Subash (subashsoumya@gmail.com).

FUN FAIR COMMITTEE:  Be on the lookout for the Fun Fair Flyer in your child’s backpack coming out next Friday, January 13th.  Fun Fair 2017 will be held Friday, February 3rd, from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.   The Ivy Hill PTA hopes you will join us for a night full of fun!  There will be plenty of games, entertainment, tasty treats, and, of course, music!  The presale wristband price is $12 (on the night of Fun Fair, the cost will be $15).

BOX TOPS/SHOPAROO COMMITTEE:    Don’t forget to submit your Box Tops and scan your receipts into Shoparoo until 2/3/17 to be entered into our next raffle!  This month’s prizes for Box Tops will be three Berry Yo gift certificates.  Two winners will be chosen for Shoparoo and will each receive a Half Price Books gift certificate.  Good Luck!

SIX-HOUR READING CLUB:   Just a reminder that log sheets signed by a parent are due to homeroom teachers by Monday, January 9 to earn a FREE Six Flags Great America one-day pass for the 2017 summer season.
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS COUNCIL PTA:  The Arlington Heights Council PTA scholarship is open to any student who spent 3 years in a District 25 school with a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 5.0 scale) and who plans on attending a post-secondary school as a full or part time student.  Applications are reviewed anonymously, and recipients are selected on the basis of efforts in the classroom, school, and community involvement. Applications are due March 4th. Recipients will be notified by April 21st.  The breakfast is May 16th 2016-2017 Application form.
