BOOK FAIR STILL AVAILABLE ONLINE!: Couldn’t make the Book Fair in person? Don’t worry! Shop the fair online until April 30th! Click here to shop.

EARTH WEEK ACTIVITIES: Take part in the Ivy Hill PTA Environmental Awareness Committee’s April Go Green Recycling Drive from 4/17 – 4/28! There will be collection bins in the Ivy Hill Commons for the following items:

  • Bags Collection
  • E-Waste Drive
  • Reuse-A-Shoe Drive
  • Bernie’s Book Bank Collection

STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK: Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week is from May 1-5, so let’s get ready to show our Ivy Staff how much we care! This year’s theme will be tropical paradise; “Mahalo, To Our Sun-sational Teachers and Staff!” Daily activities are listed in the attached flyer. We are looking for volunteers to help and contribute, so please participate if you can! Click here to volunteer or donate items!

MOVIE NIGHT TICKETS ON SALE: Our popular Family Movie Night will return this year on Friday, May 19th. We’ll be showing Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile! Check out the attached flyer for additional information. Click here to purchase tickets!

NEW IVY HILL FAMILY RUNNING CLUB!: Join us on Fridays until May 19th @ 5pm for Spring Running Club — in a new format! Tie your laces, parents, and join us for a family neighborhood loop! All ages are welcome.  We will meet on the blacktop at Ivy, weather permitting, and families can run at their own pace through a neighborhood loop. Do you have tiny kindergartners with short legs?  Just run the field or a short loop around the school! Are you bringing 5th graders who want to do cross country at Thomas? Challenge your neighbors to a long-distance race through the neighborhood! You set the pace, you set the distance!  All abilities are welcome. Questions? Email Jennifer.marie.underwood@gmail.com. **Please note: This is NOT a drop-off event.  There is no adult supervision for unattended children.  You are responsible for your children’s safety.  If your children run at different paces, you might even want to bring TWO adults!  Be sure to bring lots of water, and dress for the weather!  Get ready to have a lot of fresh air and FUN!

FORMER IVY HILL EAGLES SENIOR WALK: Do you know a former Ivy Hill Eagle who is graduating High School this year? If so, they are invited to participate in our Ivy Hill Senior Walk on May 23rd! Check out the sign up sheet located here for more details.

NEW PTA BOARD NOMINEES: The PTA Nominating Committee presents the following slate of officers for the 2023-2024 School year. The slate will be voted on at the May 11th PTA Meeting.

  • President – Erin Lakomski
  • President-Elect – Megan Martin
  • First Vice President – Cheryl Poletto
  • Second Vice President – Becky Reiter
  • Third Vice President – Jackie Sengenberger

I-FIVES: Thank you to our Book Fair Committee; Caroleen Guiwargis, Katie Parenti, and Denise Wagner, for all of the hard work you put into coordinating Book Fair this year! It’s a favorite event for students, staff, and families, and you made it another wonderful one!

Thank you also to all of the amazing volunteers who donated their time and energy this week to setting up and working the Book Fair! We literally couldn’t do this event without you, so thank you so much for your contributions.
