DADS ON RECESS: Dads on Recess is returning on Friday, April 14th! Sign up to volunteer your time and join students at recess for some soccer and some fun! You can sign up to volunteer here. *Note: You do not have to be a Dad to volunteer. Just a parent or guardian of an Ivy Hill Student.*

NEW IVY HILL FAMILY RUNNING CLUB!: Join us on Fridays April 14th – May 19th @ 5pm for Spring Running Club — in a new format! Tie your laces, parents, and join us for a family neighborhood loop! All ages are welcome.  We will meet on the blacktop at Ivy, weather permitting, and families can run at their own pace through a neighborhood loop. Do you have tiny kindergartners with short legs?  Just run the field or a short loop around the school! Are you bringing 5th graders who want to do cross country at Thomas? Challenge your neighbors to a long-distance race through the neighborhood! You set the pace, you set the distance!  All abilities are welcome. Questions? ABC/25 GET BURBED CHALLENGE: The ABC/25 Foundation invites you to participate in the ABC/25 Get Burbed Challenge 5k & 1 mile run/walk on April 15, 2023. If interested, register here!

5TH GRADE YARD SIGNS: 5th grade parents, are you interested in having a yard sign for your child? The 5th Grade Parent Committee collaborated with a sign company to create yard signs for the graduates! The yard signs are optional, but if you are interested you can use the link below to purchase. There are two options, one with no name at $20 and another with your child’s name at $25. When you click the link, you will see the step by step ordering process. When you go to make a payment, please change the invoice amount to either $20 or $25 (depending on the option you choose) and then follow the remaining steps. The committee will pick up the signs once a week, and then they will have a pick up date at Ivy for the signs. Deadline to order April 17th. If anyone has questions, please contact Caroleen Guiwargis at cguiwargis@yahoo.com. BOOK FAIR COMING SOON: Book Fair will return this year from April 19th-21st! April 19th and 20th will be teacher and student preview days, with the fair opening to families on April 21st. Look for sign ups for volunteers to be sent out in the next week.

EARTH WEEK ACTIVITIES: The Ivy Hill PTA Environmental Awareness Committee has some great activities planned for Earth Week this year! Check them out below!

• Walking School Bus– Give your cars a break and join us in our Walk to School Event on Friday, April 21st! Information on meet-up locations will be sent closer to the date.
• April Go Green Recycling Drive (4/17-4/28)- this will take place with collection bins in the Ivy Hill Commons. There will be collections for the following items:
  • Bags Collection
  • E-Waste Drive
  • Reuse-A-Shoe Drive
  • Bernie’s Book Bank Collection

SAVE THE DATE: Outdoor Family Movie Night is returning! Our popular new event from last year will be back on Friday, May 12th. Rain date: Friday, May 19th.
