LAST RUNNING CLUB: Our last Running Club for the fall is Friday, 10/28. Pick up is at 4:15pm. Thank you to all who have participated this season.

PACK THE PIGGIES IS BACK!: Pack the Piggies starts next week! The Arlington Heights Council of PTA’s (AHC-PTA) funds $10k in scholarships each year for K-8 students and D214 graduating seniors. The AHC-PTA will be holding its second annual “Pack the Piggies” FUN-raiser across the district to raise money for these scholarships. The contest runs 10/24-10/28, five days to pack our piggies and reach our goal! Ivy Hill’s school goal is to raise $1,000! To help reach our goal, you can bring in coins, cash, or checks (made out to the AHC-PTA) to pack our piggies! Last year the students got to silly-string Principal Kaese and Vice Principal Lempke. We can’t wait to see what they have in store for our prize this year, so let’s pack those piggies and reach our goal!

RED RIBBON WEEK IS HERE!: Ivy Hill will be participating in the National Red Ribbon Week campaign for a healthy lifestyle and to raise awareness about violence and bullying from October 24 – October 28. We would love to have each student join in the daily themes. Please see the schedule below:

Monday – Wear RED to kick off Red Ribbon Week
Tuesday – Spirit Day (Wear your Ivy Hill Spirit Wear or Green/Blue)
Wednesday – Crazy Hair Day
Thursday – Hat Day
Friday – Super Hero Day

ABC25 MEMBERSHIP DRIVE: Join ABC/25 Foundation for a chance to ride to school in a cop car (and more!) during the Membership DRIVE event! Become a member of the ABC/25 Foundation by 10/28, and you could win a ride to school by our very own Arlington Heights Police Department! By joining, you support D25 schools and teachers with funds for innovative, creative, and excellent experiences for your students. Over 50% of the Foundation’s grant money comes from membership dues. Ivy Hill is currently at 12.5%. Once we reach 25% membership (including families and staff), we get an additional $2500 for our school! So check out the flyer below for additional information and join today!

REFLECTIONS: Does your child enjoy art, music, or dance or have an interest in writing, producing films, or taking photos? Then they should join us and have fun unleashing their inner artist with PTA Reflections! This year’s theme, “Show Your Voice!”, calls for their own unique interpretation through the arts. Projects will be due Tuesday, November 1. Rules and other information found HERE. For any additional questions, please contact Franki Jo Beckwith at frankijobeckwith@gmail.com

COAT, HAT, & MITTEN DRIVE: Clean out your closet for a good cause! Please bring your gently used coats, hats, gloves and scarves to Ivy Hill between November 7-11. We will be collecting the items in bins in the commons area of the school. All donations will benefit POC (Partners for our Communities) which is run in cooperation with NCH Healthcare. POC works with the underserved population in our area.

YEARBOOK PHOTO SUBMISSION: We are now accepting photos for FUN FAIR, RUNNING CLUB, CRAZY SOCKS DAY AND SPIRIT DAY. We are still accepting photos for Welcome Kindergartners, Ice Cream Social/Meet and Greet and first day of school.  The deadline for submission for these events is 10/25/2022. Submit photos here. User ID: 0U4wev2edQPPN0tMxVjMLPw
