November begins, and the trees are now bare, Halloween is over, candy we share. Look over our Happenings, give us a call, our goal is clear, participation from all!

PTA MEETING: Please click here for our zoom meeting on Wednesday, November 4th @ 7pm, where you can learn all about PTA and the various committees. All parents are invited and encouraged to attend. Contact our PTA Co-Presidents Julie Soderna (julie@soderna.com) and Jennifer Sadowski (jenjen57@aol.com) with questions.

PTA MEMBERSHIP: It is not too late to join the Ivy Hill PTA. Membership ($12) includes a membership card and 2 log-ons to the online school calendar and directory.  The PTA supports and organizes many different activities throughout the school year. This year will look a little different, but we plan to have fun activities regardless. To join, please click this link.  If you have any questions, please contact Melissa Vanburen (studyfreak2005@yahoo.com).

AMAZONSMILE: Support the Ivy Hill PTA through AmazonSmile! If you’re an Amazon user, you can make a difference while you shop on Amazon. There’s a new, easy way for you to support the Ivy Hill PTA! Before you start your shopping, go to  https://smile.amazon.com/ch/36-3673393 and confirm that you would like to support the Ivy Hill PTA. Then just shop as you normally would, and the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products to the PTA. No additional work necessary! Please contact Katie Taranda if you have any questions (ktaranda@gmail.com). Thanks!

STRESS FREE FUNDRAISER: The stress-free fundraiser is BACK, now with PAPERLESS and CONTACT-FREE payment options! The PTA is working hard to deliver fun events and activities for the kids this year, while adhering to social distancing and safety guidelines. We can’t do it without your help! Please consider making a donation – any amount is appreciated.
This link provides the option to pay via credit/debit card or echeck. If you prefer to pay via cash or physical check, please send payment to the school office in an envelope marked “Stress Free”.
Please contact Kari Rosczyk (kari.rosczyk@gmail.com) with questions.

REFLECTIONS:   Do you enjoy art, music and dance or have an interest in writing, producing films and taking photos? Then join us and have fun unleashing your inner artist with PTA Reflections! This year’s theme, “I Matter Because…,” calls for your own unique interpretation through the arts. Click here for the form, which needs to be returned by November 2nd to Kim Eckert. For inspiration, visit the Reflections virtual art gallery and learn more ab out prizes and scholarships at PTA.org/Reflections/Awards

COAT, MITTEN, AND HAT DRIVE: Please clean out your coat closet and see if you have anything you would like to part with!! The PTA will be sponsoring a Coat, Mitten, and Hat drive from November 9th-November 13th.  In addition, you can also donate grocery store gift cards to help the many people who are in need! Just simply bring your donations to Ivy Hill when you drop off your child to school.   A volunteer will be at the drop off line to collect donations.  Or, if you prefer, please drop off your donations in the bin outside of Ivy Hill anytime between November 9th-13th.   Donations will be collected at the end of each school day.  Thank-you for your help!

HOLIDAY GIFT SHOP: We are once again hosting a holiday gift shop, only this year it will be virtual. More info to come!

YEARBOOK PICTURE SUBMISSIONS: Please submit yearbook pictures to Christy Smith (Delilah327@yahoo.com).
