HOLIDAY GIFT SHOP: Please save the date for this year’s Holiday Gift Shop on Saturday, December 1 from 9:00-11:30 AM at Ivy Hill School in the Commons Area. We are looking for students and/or adults to sell their crafts/home made items during the event. If you or anyone you know have a craft to sell please fill out this Vendor Request Form. Tables can be purchased for $10/student and $25/adult. Please contact Joelle Vena at jdmama08@gmail.com with any questions.
COMMUNITY AND FAMILY INVOLVEMENT COMMITTEE: The Ivy Hill PTA annual Coat, Hat & Mitten Drive is around the corner. Did you know that nearly 15% of Americans are living in poverty and struggling to provide warm coats for themselves and their families? Help us provide some warmth to those in need this winter by donating your gently used hats, mittens and coats. During the week of November 5-9, stop by the Ivy Hill Commons to drop off adult- or child-sized gently worn coats, hats and mittens. Everything collected will be donated locally to our neighbors in need. Help spread the warmth!!!
SPIRIT WEAR: The Ivy Hill Spirit Wear store is OPEN for orders! Orders are due 10/30 and will arrive at Ivy Hill the week of Nov. 12th. All orders are completed online. Click here to order: https://ivyhill2018.itemorder.com/sale
Samples will be in the Commons by the end of the week.
3rd-5th GRADE MOVIE NIGHT: 3rd – 5th Grade Movie Night permissions slips are due this Monday, October 29th. Movie Night is Friday, November 2nd at 6:30pm. Tickets are $5 in advance and the students will be watching Despicable Me 3. If you’re interested in volunteering for this event and haven’t already signed up, please reach out to Kari Rosczyk (kari.rosczyk@gmail.com)
REFLECTIONS: There’s still time to participate! Does your child enjoy art, music, and dance or have an interest in writing, producing films, and taking photos? Then they should join us and have fun unleashing their inner artist with PTA Reflections! This year’s theme, “Heroes Around Me,” calls for their own unique interpretation through the arts. Look for a flyer with additional information coming home in your child’s backpack. The Student Entry Form and Rules can be found on the Ivy Hill PTA website here, https://ivyhillpta.org/2018/09/26/reflections-2018/. Projects will be due Monday, October 29.
I-FIVES go to: The Hospitality Committee for providing dinner for our teachers during parent teacher conferences and to Denise Wagner for organizing our Fire Prevention Event and Red Ribbon Week!
SAVE THE DATE: Our next PTA Meeting is Tuesday, November 6 @ 7pm. All parents are welcome! Refreshments will be served and childcare is available.
