SIX-HOUR READING CLUB: SIX FLAGS – READ TO SUCCEED is back and paper copies should be delivered to all students by December 1! Think summer, sun and splashing at Great America next summer! Students need to read 6 hours (homework assignments not included), keep a log of reading titles and minutes read (a parent signature required) to earn a FREE Six Flags Great America one day pass for the 2018 summer season (these can also be used to purchase a Season Pass for $30). Personalized day passes will be issued in May. You must attend Ivy Hill to be part of our program. Log sheets are due to teachers by Monday, January 15th. Feel free to turn in earlier than the due date. For questions, contact Nikki Wolverton (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Louann Benbow (email@example.com).
LUNCHTIME READERS COMMITTEE: Lunchtime Readers is looking for volunteers to help guide a book discussion group for small groups of 3rd-5th graders. The group would meet once a week for 30 minutes during the recess period from 1/30/18-3/8/18. Leader Resources guides will be provided along with books and incentives. This is a great opportunity to encourage young readers and only requires 30 minutes of time per week. Please email Denise Wagner at firstname.lastname@example.org if interested in guiding a small group and day preference.

YEARBOOK COMMITTEE: Get your pictures in the yearbook! The Yearbook Staff invites you to submit photos for the yearbook. If you’ve got great photos of school events, please submit them. Our photographers can’t be everywhere. Help us get as many photos as possible to create a terrific book everyone will want to have. We prefer small group photos and all the kids in the photo need to attend Ivy Hill. Link: Yearbook Photos. You will have to register your information and put in our school name. When entering our school info, a password will be requested. Password: iheagles25. Visit the website or download app. The Yearbook Staff will review all photos and determine final yearbook content. We cannot guarantee that all submissions can be used in the book.
