COMMUNITY AND FAMILY INVOLVEMENT COMMITTEE:  Did you know that nearly 15% of Americans are living in poverty and struggling to provide warm coats for themselves and their families? This year the Ivy Hill PTA is teaming up with One Warm Coat to hold a coat, hat, and mitten drive, and we need your help!   Donate coats to the PTA coat, hat and mitten drive! One Warm Coat has been holding coat drives across the country for more than 20 years.  During the week of November 7-11, stop by the Ivy Hill Commons to drop off gently worn coats, hats, and mittens.  Everything collected will be donated locally to our neighbors in need.  Help spread the warmth!!!  See attached One Warm Coat

EVERYBODY COUNTS COMMITTEE:   Everybody Counts week is coming Nov 14-18 and in need of volunteers.  Please contact Kristina Dreyer (kristinadreyer@yahoo.com) or click on the following link to be added to the volunteer list:  https://m.signupgenius.com/#!/showSignUp/20f0b49acac2faafc1-everybody

Also, Everybody Counts is in need of clean, empty gallon milk jugs. Please drop these off in the office if you have one.

ABC/25 COMMITTEE Attention all students of District 25!  It’s time to get those creative juices flowing for this year’s Just Move It! T-shirt and Race Poster Design Challenge. Everyone will have the opportunity to submit their original drawing for the t-shirt and official race poster design.  Just think, over 1000 people will wear YOUR design!  Designs are due by November 18, 2016.   PDF 2017 t-shirt guidelines and  Word 2017 t-shirt guidelines forms can be downloaded here.

VIDEO/MUSIC PRODUCTIONS:   Our video/music productions committee needs volunteers to run the new lighting equipment, videotape each grade’s musical show, and provide DVDs for parents to purchase, all under the direction of Mrs. Opitz.  All equipment is provided.  It’s very easy to run the new, state-of-the art equipment and does not require a huge commitment.  If you can work a video camera, you are qualified.  If interested, please contact Lynette Nimmo at net02134@aol.com
