The first PTA General Meeting is on Tuesday, September 13th at 7:00 p.m. This will be opportunity to learn more about the PTA and its various committees. It is not too late to join the Ivy Hill PTA. Membership ($10 for individual, $15 for family) includes online school calendar and directory. The PTA supports and organizes many different activities throughout the school year, including Movie Night, Fun Fair, Field Day, Running Club, Chess Club, and many, many more. Interested in volunteering at Ivy Hill? The PTA has a wide variety of opportunities available. Whether you like to be interacting with students or helping out behind the scenes, we are certain you will find a fun committee to work with. Volunteer opportunities exist for moms and dads and can fit a variety of schedules. RUNNING CLUB: A great way for students to be active and meet new friends. Running club dates for K-2 are: Sept. 20, Oct. 4, and Oct. 11. Grades 3-5 will run on Sept. 22, 29 and Oct 6. There will be no club on Sept. 27 due to picture day. The club begins right after school at 3:35 on the blacktop and children will need to be picked up by 4:30. No running experience necessary. All levels of runners are welcome. Parent volunteers are needed to help with check-in/check-out, walking along the one-mile route to ensure the safety of the children, or even run with them.
