FUN FAIR COMMITTEE: Fun Fair is tonight from 5:30-8!!!  Be sure to bring your wristband with you, as wristbands are necessary to play the games and we cannot replace forgotten or lost wristbands.  Forgot to purchase your wristband?  You can purchase wristbands for $15 at the door.  There will be food, popcorn, cotton candy, and a photo booth available for cash – these items are not included in the wristband.  New this year, there will be games in the 1st grade hallway, past cake walk and the photo booth.  Be sure to check them out!!!  See you tonight!!!

CULTURAL ARTS COMMITTEE: Getting Excited About Science assembly will be held on Feb 11th from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Steve Belliveau delightfully combines his university studies (B.S.Engineering) with his skills as a magician to present a show that captivates students and teachers alike. He has been recognized by professional teaching organizations. The show is a perfect blend of teaching and entertainment that will be talked about long after. This is will be a dramatic demonstration with easy to see equipment, humor, music and audience participation.  The show’s main focus is to get students to think and discover how things work in a fun way.

Ivy Hill PTA ROLLER SKATING PARTY is Thursday, February 11th, 6:30 – 9:00 at Orbit Roller Rink.  This is always a fun night and is a free family event sponsored by the PTA (skate rental is available for $3.00).  Mark your calendars and plan to join us!  Please note this is not a drop-off event and only Ivy Hill students and their immediate family may attend.  Volunteers are still needed to work the sign in/out desk.  Please click here if you are able to help. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets d/1kAX1_b1cgo_5eEECRYFfuVbi3A3vGjqx0sS2JGUGBPo/edit?usp=sharing   Any questions, please contact Nikki Wolverton at nicholewolverton@yahoo.com

You must attend Ivy Hill to be part of our program. Log sheets are due to homeroom teachers by Monday, February 22nd.  For more information or questions, contact Patti Krinninger spekkrin@gmail.com or Cindy Stefani cindystefani@hotmail.com. Information and forms are available online: Parent LetterParent Letter – Spanish, Student Reading Log and Student Reading Log-Spanish.

CHESS CLUB COMMITTEE: Calling all chess enthusiasts in grades 1-5! Chess Club is coming on Monday, Feb. 22nd.  We will meet during lunch recess for 7 weeks.  Please return your chess club permission by Feb. 16th.  We always need volunteers and knowledge of chess isn’t required.  It’s a great way to help out your child’s school without a big time commitment.  Questions? BOX TOPS/LABELS and SHOPAROO COMMITTEE: The next Box Tops/Labels for Education and Shoparoo raffles will be February 26th.  Fun prizes will be announced soon! Just a reminder: Box Tops have an expiration date on them!  We have recently received some expired Box Tops and we are not able to turn these in for credit. Please turn in your Box Tops as soon as you accumulate them. Be sure to include the full barcode label for the promotional Box Tops and also for the Labels for Education. Remember to label your baggie with your child’s full name and grade.  Feel free to write your child’s full name several times on the baggie.  Sadly, we have many bags turned in and we don’t know who to give raffle credits to.  Thanks for everyone who has been participating in our Box top/Labels for Education and Shoparoo program!
